THIN WIRE FOR GANG-SAW

Wire Diameter

The 0.55mm refers to the thickness of the wire. A 0.55mm wire is relatively thin and is chosen to create fine, clean cuts without wasting much material.

Material

Most commonly, the wire is made of high-tensile steel to withstand the intense pressure and friction during the cutting process. Some wires are diamond-coated,  especially for cutting harder marble or to improve the longevity of the wire by reducing wear during operation.

Cutting Application

Gang-saws use multiple thin wires (arranged in a series) to slice through a large block of marble surface, helping to reduce wastage and improving the quality of the cut slabs. It is important that the wire maintains tension and strength throughout the cutting process to avoid breakage or poor-quality cuts.

Diamond vs. Non-Diamond:

Diamond-coated wires are often used for harder stones like granite but may also be used for more abrasive marble varieties. These wires help provide better cutting speeds and higher efficiency. Non-diamond wires are typically cheaper but may wear out faster, particularly when cutting tougher stones or working on large-scale operations
